This study looks at how 38 US and Canadian colleges and university health services are planning to distribute or are currently distributing COVID vaccines to their students, faculty and staff. The data and commentary help readers to answer questions such as: how confident are colleges in vaccine distribution strategies? How disruptive will anti-vaccine sentiment be? What percentage of students do you expect to vaccinate through the college health service? Will vaccination be mandatory? If so, for whom? How well prepared are colleges to handle the distribution of vaccines that require storage at sub-freezing temperatures? How good is the level of communication between the college or university health service and vaccine distribution programs established by state or local governments in your area? How are college’s prioritizing vaccine distribution? What kind of committees or task forces have been developed to oversee or advise on the process?

A plurality of 23.68% of respondents expect a vaccine to be in common use by most students in their institution by March or April 2021.

Less than 10% seriously lack confidence in their institution’s vaccine distribution strategy and capabilities.

Overall, respondents believed that an average of 50.26% of their students (with a median of 50%, minimum of 0%, and maximum of 100%) are expected to receive a vaccine through the college health services once a vaccine is distributed.
