What are the areas that students seek out for tutoring and has this changed in recent years? How supportive is the college administration of the tutoring program? What is the role of the college library? How supportive is faculty? How are student tutors found and trained?

Just a few of the report's many findings are that:

• 34.48% of the colleges in the sample offered embedded tutors who work with students in actual classes.
• Public colleges were more likely than private colleges to offer online tutoring: only 30% of private colleges offered online tutoring, while 44.74% of public colleges did so.
• In the 2012-13 academic year, the number of students served increased to a mean of 2,913, an increase of about 5.4%.
• The research universities in the sample employed a mean of 181.67 student tutors.
• The role of the college library in the college tutoring program varies enormously. Some libraries play no role at all; others provide a venue but not much more than that. Many, however, are full partners, providing extensive information literacy services and sometimes other forms of tutoring as well.
